The Fairytale “Garden Shed” by Ville Hara and Linda Bergroth

Architect Ville Hara and designer Linda Bergroth have created this remarkable garden shed!

As a unique proposition for combining the two structures into a new, and aesthetically pleasing design, the addition of wooden flooring and solar lights make Linda Bergroth’s personal early prototype an inspiring outside room. It is a unique prefabricated garden shed that combines a green house with storage space and comes in ready made elements that can be assembled by simply using a screwdriver.

The Garden Shed is made from Finnish pine and safety glass and equipped with automatic openers to control the temperature inside. It is designed to fit in the Scandinavian landscape and has a traditional gabled roof – typical in the area because of the weather conditions. The product comes in natural wood and can be painted according to taste and the surrounding area. The wall elements function as support for folding shelves: glass shelves for the greenhouse that allows the sun reach all the plants and wooden shelves in two sizes for storage use.

Twins – Houses in Five Parts | William O’Brien Jr

Boston USA, based practice William O’brien jr. has designed ‘twins: houses in five parts’, two single family residences located in upstate new york, USA. intended for two brothers, a pair of structures sharing similar geometric qualities are linked by a functional agricultural field. the internal volumes are the result of a study of the mathematical principle of ‘dissection’ in which polygons of equal areas may be divided into identical shapes. two sets composed of four varied trapezoids and one triangle containing parallel programmatic functions are arranged into a square and hexagonal plan configuration.

The Milan based Design firm, Santambrogio developed this amazing glass house, which is entirely constructed of light blue, hued glass. Not only the house, but the entire furniture, like the bed, table, bathtub are made out of the same glass. The collection named ‘Simplicity’ was born from a collaboration between Carlo Santambrogio and the designer Ennio Arosio with the aim of giving transparent shape to a precise and essential way of conceiving and living the spaces, while satisfying aesthetic needs. Glass figures are the unquestioned protagonist, and without any distraction of the eye they create a perfect symbiosis with the environment.
